Ice Badgers Nordic Ski Team

The Ice Badgers are run by MTCX Events and Programs.  We are a Missoula Based non profit.  Check out our mission and more of what we do at MTCX.org.

We have kept Ice Badger pricing the same as the last year.  We decided to not increase the price to market value and rather lock in the pricing for the next 5 seasons.  Our expenses have increased with cost of living but also we hired a Head IBEX Coach in Mike Lessard, we increased our number of scholarships offered, and we officially hired an Executive Director, Shaun Radley.  We also included free race registration to our 3 races.  The plan is to pay for all Head Coaches L100 training.  We also volunteer and help coordinate with ZANY and Parks and Rec ski programs.  Our permitting and ski area structure has increased, we can now practice at 6 different ski areas around Missoula (Gold Creek, Lolo, Pattee, Lubrecht, UM Golf, 9 Mile).  The Montana Nordic Cup is also back.  We volunteer run that race series to help promote, local, low key, fun racing.

The idea of freezing the pricing is predicated on some families making donations to match the market value.  We understand there are only a small group of families who can do this, so please do not feel pressure to donate.  If all you can do is apply for a scholarship, we welcome that and are excited to have you.  The Ice Badgers have always been a grass root, work hard, low cost program.  We will continue this tradition and represent the city with class and pride.
