Lake J 5K Glow Run

The proceeds from this race goes to support our Missions Group at Lake Junaluska First Baptist Church.  ALL proceeds goes to help them spread the good news of Jesus!! The 5k supports local missions projects. ALL runners/walkers pre-registered (registered by May 1st) will receive a FREE race t-shirt!

Event details and schedule
 

The registration/check-in will open at 7:00pm at Clyde Elementary School. There will be parking at Clyde Elementary School parking lot. We will have portable restrooms at the school. Please arrive no later than 8:00pm to provide adequate time to register or check-in. The race will begin at dark which will be approximately 8:45 pm.

This will be a timed event! Awards will be given. The awards ceremony will begin promptly at 9:45 around the registration table area. They will be give in age groups as well as overall. Please be present to get your award.

We will also have food and drinks for sale. Bring your non-running friends to cheer you on during the race!

Since this is a night race, wear your craziest glow wear! Every walker and runner is required to wear glow wear for safety purposes. We will be providing a Glow necklace and a Glow bracelet.

The awards will be broken down as follows:

Top 3 Male/Female Overall

Top 3 Male/Female Masters (40+)

Top 3 Male/Female in the following age groups:

0 – 12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

Sorry, NO REFUNDS! There will not be a rain date this year. We will run rain or shine. However, if we have to cancel the race (due to storms, etc.), you will have a couple of options. You can:  defer your race entry to the next race OR you can just use your race fee as a tax deductible donation to our church. 

You will have one hour and a half to complete this race.
