Candy Corn 5k - Cancelled for 2021

The 2021 Candy Corn 5K is an annual fundraising event for Family Support Network of Southern Piedmont, a nonprofit agency serving families of children born prematurely or with other special healthcare needs or disabilities.   Runners, Walkers, and Rollers are all welcome!   

Participants must register by Friday, September 17th in order to guarantee a t-shirt.  Each registered participant will receive a goodie bag. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals for each category!

• $20 Early Bird registration for ages 13 years old and up who register by September 22nd. $25 after September 22nd.

• $15 Early Bird registration for children 6-12 years old who register by September 22nd. $20 after September 22nd. 
  

Online registration closes at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, September 30th but you can register on-site the day of the race.  (On-site registration will be $30 for ages 13 and up and $25 for ages 6-12.) 

Onsite registration and packet pick-up begins at 8:00 a.m. the day of the race.

Rain or shine, this race takes place at the scenic Frank Liske Park in Concord, NC. Please check-in at the Hartsell Shelter in the park. 

Prize for the best Candy Corn costume! 

Finding out your child has a special healthcare need or disability can be stressful and overwhelming.  Family Support Network  of Southern Piedmont gives families the tools they need to become more confident in raising their child with special needs. Last year, we served over 800 families by providing one-to-one parent support in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, information, referrals, support groups for parents and siblings, parent to parent matching, trainings and workshops, and social events for children with special needs such as Cookies with Santa and the Summer Splash Celebration.
