All proceeds from this event will go to the RCC foundation. Specifically this year, the proceeds will go towards the Sarah Evans Scholarship.
The Rockingham Community College Foundation, Inc. exists to assist and support Rockingham Community College in its efforts to enhance individual and community success by fostering life-long learning and economic development through high-quality, accessible education and innovative partnerships.

- The RCC Foundation was incorporated on January 7, 1970.
- The RCC Foundation manages nearly 200 scholarships.
- RCC students received more than $157,000 in scholarship awards for 2022-2023.
- 2022-2023 Employee Fund Drive raised $21,000 with a participation rate of 86%.
- The RCC Foundation supports the RCC Campus Grant Program by awarding an average of $100,000. The grant supports teaching and learning and are requested by RCC faculty and staff.
Sarah Evans Scholarship
The faculty and staff of Rockingham Community College established this scholarship in loving memory of Sarah Slayton Evans. Their wish is to recognize the impact that she made to the Rockingham Community College campus community during her employment with the college. Sarah was a lifelong resident of Rockingham County. She was a treasured wife, mother, daughter, sister, coworker, and friend. Sarah earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration form the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, her Master of Science Degree in Adult Education from NC A&T State University, and her Master of Business Administration Degree from Montreat College. While employed at Rockingham Community College, she held the positions of Financial Aid Specialist, Assistant Director of Financial Aid and Veterans Affairs, Director of Financial Aid and Veterans Affairs, Adjunct Faculty, Assistant Professor of Business Administration, and Department Chair of Business Technologies. Sarah loved her faith and family. She was dedicated, giving, and full of life.
