In light of COVID-19 Pandemic,  we will be hosting our Rally/ Walk as a VIRTUAL EVENT!  Invite friends and share info on social media to #EndTheTrend of Suicide in the African American community!  We look forward to #BrighterDays ahead! 

DESCRIPTION

Brighter Days: A Holistic Approach to Suicide Prevention In the African American Community- Memorial Rally & Walk is a family-friendly event to bring suicide awareness in the African American community. Brighter Days is an Initiative of Center for Holistic Development (CHD). CHD is a nonprofit that focuses on helping individuals relieve emotional and psychological pain, make behavioral changes that facilitate growth, increase self-awareness and self-knowledge, which lead to healthy living.

PURPOSE

To come together as a community, promote #brighterdays and hope for the future, and to #endthetrend of suicide. All proceeds will be for the purpose of prevention services, awareness efforts, and postvention support within the African American community for individuals who have loss loved ones to suicide.

Date: Saturday May 30, 2020

Time: Rally (9am-10am) via ZOOM, Virtual Walk (10am-1pm) Post pictures, videos, go live on social media and use the hashtags #endthetrend #brighterdays #CHDOmaha #Centerforholisticdevelopment #SuicidePreventionAACommunity 

How much does it cost? $20 
Groups of 10  ($15 per person)

What does registration include?

* Swag Bags for 1st 150 registrants

*T-shirt included in Swag bag for day of event wear if registered by May 10th. NO DELIVERY AT THIS TIME, LOCAL PICK UP ONLY (Omaha, NE)   

**UPDATE as of 5/11/2020- T-Shirt Option IS STILL AVAILABLE TO CHOOSE. If Registered after May 10th, we will contact you in June to arrange shirt pick up (Local pick up only at this time).**

Interested in giving, but unable to attend? Donations welcome! We want to still promote the event/ donate to the cause through June 30th!!!
