Blackhawk Blaze

The Plainfield Parent Teacher Association together with the Plainfield Class of 2026 are thrilled to announce the Blackhawk Blaze, our Fifth Annual Family Fun Run and 5K Trail Race for all community members on October 6, 2024. The 1-Mile Fun Run will be on Plainfield Elementary School (PES) grounds. The Trail Race will take runners (and walkers) on a scenic and easy to moderate course through the Plainfield Trail System.

PES is a community school that is committed to student growth and achievement through a rigorous education that reflects the New England values of sustainability, integrity, ingenuity, collaborative spirit, and stewardship of the natural environment. Funds raised by the Blackhawk Blaze will be shared between the PTA (to use towards enhancing outdoor educational programs for the PES school community), and the Class of 2026 (to fundraise so that all students are able to go on the class graduation trip).  We do have a 501(c)(3) designation and your donation is tax deductible.

All levels of sponsorship include at least one free registration for the race. Race registrations include: race entry and event t-shirt. Come as an individual or bring a whole team. The Blackhawk Blaze 5K is a great chance to run with your friends and family, build camaraderie with your colleagues, or show off your company's dedication to our local community school!
