PHF NORTHEAST WALK for Hydrocephalus Research 2026

Donation Goal: $30,000

PHF Northeast Walk 2026 Ambassador Callie Marie Williams

At just three years old, Callie Marie Williams from Mount Laurel, New Jersey, has already shown more strength and resilience than most people will in a lifetime. When Callie was just four months old, her family received unexpected news—she was diagnosed with hydrocephalus caused by aqueductal stenosis. There had been no signs that anything was wrong throughout the pregnancy and even at birth, so the diagnosis came as a complete surprise at her regular wellness visit.

Shortly after, Callie underwent an Endoscopic Third Ventriculostomy (ETV). From that moment on, her journey has included regular MRIs and close monitoring with the incredible team of doctors at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). For years, Callie bravely went through scans every 3–6 months. Thankfully, her results have remained stable, and she has now reached an exciting milestone—moving to yearly MRIs.

Like many children with hydrocephalus, Callie faced some early physical and speech delays. But with determination, support from her loving family, and the amazing specialists at Early Intervention, Callie worked hard to overcome every obstacle. She learned to sit up, crawl, walk, and run—and today she might just be the fastest three-year-old you’ll ever meet. Through dedication and hard work, she has also caught up with her speech and is now thriving alongside her peers.

Today, Callie’s personality shines just as brightly as her strength. She loves to dance—especially to K-pop—and the Wonka soundtrack is always a favorite in her house. She adores animals, climbing, jumping, and exploring the world around her. Whether she’s reading books, drawing and coloring, or spending time with her family and cousins, Callie approaches every day with pure joy and curiosity.

Callie’s family knows how fortunate they are to have access to excellent care and positive treatment options. They are honored for Callie to serve as a 2026 Ambassador, helping raise awareness and funds for hydrocephalus research. Their hope is that through continued research, innovation, and support, every child diagnosed with hydrocephalus will have the same opportunity to grow, thrive, and chase their adventures—just like Callie.

Our mission is to find a cure for Hydrocephalus and improve the lives of those impacted by the condition. But we cannot do it alone.  Help us change the future of Hydrocephalus by supporting Hydrocephalus Research and the Pediatric Hydrocephalus Foundation!

Thank you!
