LeRoy Homer, resident of Marlton, was the First Officer on United Flight 93 which tragically crashed in Shanksville, PA on Sept 11, 2001. The crew and passengers fought off terrorists and thwarted an attack against the US Capitol. The LeRoy Homer Foundation, founded in 2002, awards flight scholarships to young adults who wish to pursue careers in aviation. The proceeds from this 5K benefit our aviation scholarship program. To date we have awarded 33 scholarships, totaling over $275,000.
