About the Business and Economic Development Commission (BEDC)
The Maple Shade BEDC is a volunteer advisory body dedicated to enhancing the economic vitality, community identity, and overall quality of life in our town. Comprised of residents, business owners, and professionals from a range of backgrounds, the BEDC serves as a bridge between local government, the business community, and Maple Shade residents.
Our Goals
The Commission works to attract, retain, and support businesses, while also revitalizing and reimagining public spaces to foster a vibrant, walkable, and welcoming downtown. We focus on long-term strategies that celebrate Maple Shade’s character, strengthen our local economy, and create a more engaging experience for everyone who lives, works, or visits here.
Why Fundraise for the Arts?
Supporting the arts is central to our mission. We believe that art in all its forms—visual, performing, musical, and cultural—has the power to activate spaces, connect people, and inspire pride in our town. That’s why the BEDC is raising funds to support a wide range of artistic and cultural initiatives in Maple Shade.
Your donation will help us:
- Transform public spaces with interactive art installations, sculpture, and murals
Host cultural events that reflect and celebrate the diversity of our community - Support local performers by bringing music, dance, and theater to town events
- Create opportunities for youth to engage in creative expression and arts education
- Promote economic development by making Maple Shade a destination for the art.
From family-friendly concerts and cultural festivals to community art projects and pop-up performances, every dollar raised helps bring more creativity, color, and connection to Maple Shade.
Let’s build a more vibrant Maple Shade—together.
