The Kortney Rose Foundation (KRF) was established in 2006 in memory of 9-year-old Kortney Rose Gillette who lost her brave battle with brain cancer. The mission of the KRF is dedicated to raising funds to support research and education related to the treatment and cure of pediatric brain/central nervous system tumors.
-- Pediatric brain/central nervous system tumors are the #1 disease killer of children under 20.
-- Only 4% of the National Cancer Institute's (NCI) funding goes to all forms of pediatric cancer research. That's right, 96% for adult cancers but only 4% to fight children's cancer.
-- Researchers are on the cusp of amazing discoveries in their work to find cures for pediatric cancers. But research is very expensive and they need funding to continue the fight.
Donate to The Kortney Rose Foundation today and help us fund ground-breaking research in the effort to treat and cure pediatric brain/central nervous system tumors.
Visit www.thekortneyrosefoundation.org for details on the projects that the KRF funds at the Children's Brain Tumor Tissue Consortium (CBTTC), the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and Hackensack University Medical Center's Joseph M. Sanzari Children's Hospital.
