Social Service Association "Neighbors Running for Neighbors" Virtual 5K

FOR OVER 100 YEARS, THE VOLUNTEERS AT SOCIAL SERVICE ASSOCIATION OF RIDGEWOOD & VICINITY HAVE BEEN DEDICATED TO HELPING THE LOCAL COMMUNITY.

We are neighbors helping neighbors — on a mission to provide food, emergency rent, utility assistance and support services to individuals & families in Ridgewood, Glen Rock, Midland Park, Ho-Ho-Kus, Wyckoff and Waldwick, New Jersey.

Social Service Association is still helping our clients, but due to the pandemic we have had to shift the way we work.  As we approach Thanksgiving and the Holidays we want to continue to help our clients and we hope you will support us virtually.  Typically we have a fall fundraiser that helps us to keep the pantry full through the winter - this year we needed to do something different - something safer but still fun!

We are hosting a Virtual 5K which will take place anytime from October 15 - November 15, 2020 and you can complete the race any time during this time period on the treadmill, in your neighborhood, or any other permitted location (while safely social distancing!). Complete the race your way: walk or run but most importantly – Have fun and stay safe!

All runners will receive a 2020 SSA Virtual Race long sleeve dry-fit t-shirt.  T-shirts will be shipped to all registered runners after the race is completed - toward the end of November.   

We won't be selecting winners based on times so everyone is eligible to win this race!  We will randomly choose 3 winners through a drawing from all registered runners; prizes will be mailed after the race registration window is closed. 

1st prize: $150 gift card to Roots Steakhouse.
2nd prize is $100 gift card to Albert's Cafe Amici.
3rd prize is $50 gift card to S. Egidio.

You pick any day/time between October 15th and November 15th.

Run/walk 3.1 miles.
