Turtle Back Trot 5k Family Fun Run- Turtle Back Zoo, West Orange, NJ

Please join Turtle Back Zoo for the first annual Turtle Back Trot and help support NJ's #1 Zoo! This 5k race and Kids Mile Fun Run will be held on a flat, beginner- friendly scenic course that finishes with a loop of the beautiful West Orange Reservoir. The 5k will be chip timed and there will be both Overall and Age Group awards. This IS a family friendly event and each entry into the 5k also earns a pass to the Turtle Back Zoo, for the day of the event. Come for the races and stay for a fun filled family day at the park! All 5k registrants, prior to 9/23, are also guaranteed a race tee.

Location - The 5k race will begin at 10AM on Cherry Lane, directly in front of McCloone's Restaurant. The race will proceed down Cherry Lane for one mile, turn around, and end with a loop of the West Orange Reservoir. The finish line will be directly in front of the resovoir entrance at the Turtle Back Zoo.

Parking - FREE Parking will be available in the garage and lot at the Turtle Back Zoo. From the parking it is a short walk around the reservoir path to the starting line in front of McCloone's restaurant.

Pre-Race Packet Pickup - Beat the day of pickup lines and pick up your packet and number before race day. Packet pickup will be held 10/1 (11AM-7PM) & 10/2 (11AM-8PM) at Sneaker Factory Florham Park (177 Columbia Turnpike, Florham Park, 973-520-8455).

Race Day Registration and Sign UP - Day-Of Registration and packet pickup will open at 8AM on race day. Day of activities will take place in the same lot as parking, in front of the Turtle Back Zoo.

Kids Fun Run - The One Mile Kids Fun Run will begin at 9:15AM. Registraion for the Fun Run can be done online or day of. All Fun Run participants will receive a finishers medal.

*This event will be held rain or shine.
