Meet Connor, 15-year-old living with Cystic Fibrosis (CF)- a progressive genetic disease that causes thick, sticky mucus to build up in the lungs and other organs, leading to persistent infections and breathing difficulties. Cystic Fibrosis affects tens of thousands of children and young adults in the United States. Research and care supported by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is making a huge difference in extending the quality of life for those with CF.
While groundbreaking advancements in CF research have led to treatments that help about 90% of patients, Connor is part of the 10% who do not qualify due to his rare genetic variants—shared by only 14 other people in the world. This is why continued research is critical.
By participating in Connor's Causes 5K, you are directly supporting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, which funds life-changing research and care. Together, we can turn CF into "Cure Found"!
💙 Every step, every dollar, every donor brings us closer to a cure. 💙
