October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! As part of the Paint the Town Pink effort on Main Street, we are hosting the Paint it Pink 5k Fun Run Walk to raise funds for our Cancer Care centers at Carson Tahoe Hospital and Carson Valley Health.
In addition to the $5.00 from each entry, you can donate additional funds to help us reach our goal.
The Paint, the Town Pink for October, is our month-long campaign, starting with a proclamation read by Douglas County Commissioner Chair Gardner recognizing October as Breast Cancer Awareness month. From there, we Paint the Town Pink with our Pink Flower Bowls and pink ribbons along the light posts along Main Street.
