The LGLC protects the land within the Lake George watershed to preserve the world-renowned water quality of this amazing lake. An accredited, not-for-profit land trust, the Lake George Land Conservancy (LGLC) is dedicated to working with willing landowners and other partners to protect Lake George and to permanently preserve the natural, scenic, historical, and recreational resources of the Lake George region of the Adirondack Park.
Amy's Adventure Race for the Lake takes place at Amy's Park, which is one of the LGLC's largest preserves and most critical wetland areas. Proceeds from the race will go towards the Indian Brook & Northwest Bay Conservation Initiative, an ongoing effort by the LGLC to conserve this highly sensitive region. Undisturbed wetlands are the primary way pollutants are filtered out of the water before it reaches Lake George
