Town of Gorham Historical Society Building Fund

We are the Town of Gorham Historical Society-a small but mighty group! Our museum is currently in a 24” x 32’ room in the basement of our Town Library. We have the opportunity to acquire a wonderful property at about half of market value. Help us fund the purchase of a freshly painted, slate roof, 1900 blue and yellow Queen Anne Victorian that is right across the street from our current location. It contains almost 3800 square feet of space to create displays and exhibits, separate research areas that are quiet and conducive to work, and storage areas so that we don’t have to have our artifacts spread out in 3 different storage area all over town! It also comes complete with a carriage barn to house our 1880 Studebaker water wagon and our Agricultural artifacts. It has enough room out back to move and place our Town’s first Post office building and our WW2 Plane Spotter building. Did we mention that the back boundary is Flint Creek, an important tributary of Lake Ontario? In addition to the purchase and closing costs, we will need to put in an elevator for not only the safe ventures of our volunteers and patrons between all 3 floors, but also the transportation of artifacts between storage areas and exhibitions. We desperately need your assistance to make this dream and more importantly, this educational space a reality! Please help us put the history of the Town of Gorham New York on the map! THANK YOU

If you prefer to pay via check, please make it out to Town of Gorham Historical Society, mailing address PO Box 90, Gorham NY 14461. THANK YOU
