Honoring an Ancient Contract: Support the UCSPCA
I used to roll my eyes when people treated dogs like family—until a German Shepherd named Hazel changed my life six years ago. She taught me that our link to dogs isn't just sentiment; it’s our oldest partnership. We changed their nature to suit our needs, and because of that, we owe them a safety net.
On May 9, we are running the Bruynswick Winery Run 7K to honor that debt. We’re raising funds for the UCSPCA, the organization that recently gave Bernard, a 108-lb blind Akita, his first real home.
The UCSPCA is 95% self-supporting. They rely on us to be the heart that keeps soaring for the vulnerable.
The Goal: 100% of your donation goes to the shelter. Whether you’re running with us in Gardiner or donating from afar, you are fulfilling a human obligation that started at a campfire thousands of years ago. Let’s get it done for the next animal waiting in the wings. 100% of the event's proceeds will go to the shelter. Please donate if you can!
