Your donation will enable the Arc of Onondaga Foundation to fund grants that make a lasting and positive impact upon people with I/DD who receive supports from Arc of Onondaga. In 2023, the Foundation gave $250,000 to renovate space that created the Wilbur Center for Opportunity, which is now a programming hub, offering an art studio, gathering lounge, technology studio, day habilitation space, and a training kitchen.
This year, a $50,000 grant was given to establish an Employee Emergency Fund. The Emergency Fund makes a one-time $500 payment to help support our staff who have experienced a sudden or emergency-related hardships that make it challenging for them to work. There is an application process, and funds are available within 48-72 hours once an application has been approved. Applications have been received to help pay for medical bills, car repairs, rent, childcare, and food. In June, a $10,000 grant supported the Redhouse Arts Center's production of "Tuck Everlasting." This live theater experience included workshops, rehearsals, and the opportunity to perform for 20 people who receive support from Arc of Onondaga.
When you support the Arc Race, these are some of the opportunities that you make possible!
