About Richfield Springs Fire Department
The Richfield Springs Fire Department was founded in August of 1879 and was first known as the Richfield Hose Company #1 then later Canadarago Hose Company # 2 also formed and on January 20 1880 the Richfield Springs Hook and Ladder Co. # 1 was organized. It wasn't until 1920 the three companies would combine into the present Richfield Springs Fire Dept. The Ambulance was finally organized in 1948. in 1949 the fire District composed of the Town of Richfield and Town of Warren. In 1953 is when the Present Fire house was built and held its first meeting that same year.
