We are a small operation - this is a passion project for race directors James and Heather McKirdy. We don't have a major sponsor backing us, so our approach with The Micro race series has been to start small and make incremental improvements year after year.

Donations are a significant help in making these incremental improvements.

Every single dollar we see goes back into race weekend. Donations fund things like:

• The Pace Team - being able to offer experienced pacers at every goal time we offer as well as the additional goal times that pop up as the field forms. Last year we brought Esther Atkins on board to manage the pace team, largely thanks to the donations we received.
• Bottle Service - ensuring we have a safe setup on course that supports the entire field, as well as enough staff to handle the logistics of pre-race logistics and setup, in-race support, and post-race cleanup
• The Finish - this year, we are setting up a better infrastructure at the finish line, including cleaner markings on the final 300m of the course split, as well as after the finish line banner and through the chute. The post-race area is getting a full makeover with more amenities, a cleaner layout, and more room to hang out with your crew after your effort. This is ENTIRELY thanks to donations we received last year. 

Most of the donations we receive are $5, $10, and $25, added by athletes on their way through registration. If that's you, thank you <3. Small donations, made by a lot of runners, go further than you might imagine.
