Wantagh Warrior 9/11 Memorial 5k Presented by the Gary Sinise Foundation

Donation Goal: $12,060

Wantagh 9/11 Memorial 5K – Donation Goal $12,060

The tragic events of September 11, 2001, impacted our nation profoundly. Wantagh was not
immune from this tragedy. As a community we lost alumni and residents on that day and in the
subsequent years.

With that in mind, we feel it is imperative to never forget the impact of this event on our
community. It is our goal to educate our students on this event and its aftermath. Through your
generosity we would like to be able to fund an annual trip for our 11 th graders to the 9/11
museum each year, provide scholarships to graduating seniors and eventually build a lasting
and respectful memorial on our campus to those that we lost as a result of this tragedy. Your
donation will help us to achieve these goals.
