Keep It Moving has the mission to provide young people with the opportunity to engage in healthy, life-affirming activities. We fill the gap for young people with the desire to engage in a sport, music, or academic endeavor but do not have the financial means to do so.

We are also dedicated to having Narcan, the life-saving drug that reverses opioid overdose, in every purse, backpack, and first-aid kit. We provide on-the-spot Narcan training for the community when and where it is needed – whether on the street, in a religious organization, living room, or in a parking lot.
Keep It Moving was started after our son, Zane Mandel Michalak, a 22-year-old Siena College Social Work graduate, overdosed on fentanyl only thirteen weeks after graduation. Zane’s playful, bright, endearing, and compassionate spirit lives on in the work we are doing in Keep It Moving and in every life that is saved. Our ultimate goal is that NOT ONE MORE person is lost in the opioid epidemic.
Zane had a love of life, having a great time and riding the edge. Did we mention he was a lot of fun? Zane also struggled feeling comfortable in his own skin but was always at home in nature: snowboarding, biking, skateboarding, camping or simply being. It is his zest and energy we pull forward into the Keep It Moving mission. Zane is the primary philosophy officer of Keep It Moving.
When Zane donned this shirt and hat, you knew it was going to be a good time.
His loving friends and family live life with Zane’s values and practices: forgive easily, love deeply, eat heartily and be fearless.

His brother Max, was Zane’s deepest love and confidant. He misses him every second of every hour of every day.
