NewRo Runners, which organizes Paine to Pain, is starting a second fundraiser in response to the COVID-19 crisis. In this one we have ordered a few thousand (non-surgical) masks through our long-time shirt-maker. They will have cotton inside, poly outside, filter pocket and be machine washable.
The masks are not for sale. They will be distributed free.
The primary recipients will be serving under-privileged areas locally, in addition to restaurants and municipal workers.
In addition, we have made some for distribution to our running friends for distribution in the NYC boroughs and southern Connecticut.
We have fronted the funds ourselves. If you wish to help with a donation that would be great. But there is no requirement that anyone receiving a mask make one. They are free to those who want and need.
NewRo Runners is a 501(c)(3) organization and your donations are tax deductible, excluding the small RunSignUp processing fee.
