Various churches in Logan County have set up the Backpack Ministries program in most of our area schools. Every Friday during the school year, needy children are sent home with a backpack full of easy to prepare food to make sure they don’t go hungry over the weekend. Educators send home permission slips for parent approval for their child to participate in this program.
