Police K-9 Association

Goal: $10,000

The Police K-9 Association has served the Northeast, Ohio area for over 35 years. Since 1985, we have continued to provide a myriad of missions consisting of drug enforcement, criminal apprehension, officer safety, tracking, detection, and search and rescue. Our mission is to promote service and safety in our communities through the efficient deployment and use of our K-9 teams. Our diversification, rigorous training program, and 100-mile reach are just a few things which make our association invaluable.

The PK9A® is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit and charitable organization responsible for training and assisting nearly 50 active and retired K-9 teams between 20+ departments. As the need for K-9’s continues to grow, so does our organization’s responsibility to support these K-9 teams. There are significant costs in starting and maintaining a prosperous K-9 program. City and county financial budgets often limit needed funding for K-9’s. The PK9A® assists agencies by offsetting the cost of education, training, equipment, and the medical needs of both active and retired K-9’s.
