Pawsitive Hearts

Pawsitive Hearts is a foster-based dog rescue. We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization that is dedicated to impacting the quality of life for unwanted, abused, or abandoned animals. We work with animal shelters in the Muskingum, Franklin, and surrounding county areas in Ohio to assist in the prevention of euthanasia by reducing the amount of overcrowding shelters experience. We also work with other rescues, humane cases, and owner surrender.

We are a 100% Volunteer based rescue and all work around our crazy life schedules to help dogs in need. Pawsitive Hearts is not your traditional animal shelter, as we do not have a facility for our dogs, but instead rely solely on a select list of fosters to provide a safe home environment before adoption.

The services we provide include:

  • Adoption program
  • Medical Care for any of our rescue animals - this includes spay/neuter, vaccinations and other
    emergency care!
  • Donation Drives for local animal facilities
  • Temporary housing through our foster program for animals in need or danger of euthanization (in hopes of reaching our goal of having a Facility of our own!)

In our first year as an organization, we were able to hit the ground running and make a difference!
