Sua Sponte 5k and 1 Mile Walk/Run

Ohio Dominican University (ODU) is proud to serve veterans and active servicemen and servicewomen of the United States military. In 2016, ODU was named by Victory Media as one of the best Military Friendly Schools in the nation for the eighth consecutive year. ODU also was ranked fifth in the nation and the best in Ohio, making it a Top 10 Gold School among private colleges, universities and trade schools with fewer than 10,000 students. The Military Friendly Schools list recognizes colleges, universities, and trade school that are doing the most to embrace America’s military service members to ensure their success on campus and in life.

The Sua Sponte 5k promotes the success of student-veterans at ODU and inspire servicemen and servicewomen to advance their education and prepare for rewarding careers following their military careers.

This route will take participants throughout ODU’s beautiful tree-lined campus. This event is a great opportunity for all students, faculty, staff and community members to experience campus in a new way. Military veterans are also invited to take this opportunity to explore ODU’s convenient and affordable certificate and degree offerings.

Most Patriotic Person Contest 
Design a t-shirt, outfit, or any sort of race paraphernalia and wear it to the race! The most patriotic person will win a valued prize!
