Since launching in September 2021, CMHF has donated over $260,000 for pediatric cancer research at leading children's research hospitals around the country. Including: Nationwide Children's Hospital, Cincinnati Children's, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/Boston Children's and Children's National.
The mission of CMHF is to raise awareness and funding for newer, kinder treatments for kids with cancer. Therefore, the research we support is disease state agnostic, meaning we are focused on making an impact across all the cancers that impact children, not solely Callahan's diagnosis of infant leukemia (though this is a special interest, of course).
Additionally, supporting research at hospitals beyond our own incredible Nationwide Children's is important because there is so much incredible work happening at different hospitals that can make a difference for our kids, if they can get funding. Not all trials are available everywhere, so helping fund a promising project at one hospital enables its advancement, which ultimately makes it available to all children who could benefit from that research.
