PAWS for the Wayne County Dog Shelter is a 501(c) 3 non-profit, charitable organization, whose core mission is to provide support to the Wayne County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center. We accomplish this through volunteerism, fundraising efforts and educational training opportunities, along with raising awareness of the necessities for the shelter and shelter dogs.
We are an all-volunteer organization who have a passion, and desire to assist the shelter in providing above standard care and compassion to each animal who arrives at the shelter.
All funds raised from the Dirty Dog Jog will go directly to helping PAWS reach their goals of the following, but not limited to -
Creating a sustainable Spay & Neuter Program.
Providing an ongoing Enrichment Program for the shelter dogs: Dogs
Playing for Life Program
Purchasing an Adoption Trailer for off-site adoption events.
