Greenlight Operation's Run for Restoration

Donation Goal: $40,000

Human trafficking is modern-day slavery. Through force, fraud, and coercion, people are being bought and sold against their will for labor and commercial sex acts. It’s a global crisis involving the illegal trade of humans that is impacting our local communities.

  • 49.6 million people are estimated to live in slavery worldwide
  • Less than 1% of victims are rescued
  • Human trafficking is recognized as the fastest growing criminal industry
  • An estimated 5.4 out of every 1,000 people are enslaved in the world.

This data represents people who are being exploited in one of the most horrific ways. Some of these people are right here in our community - right under our noses and they go unnoticed day after day. In the United States and Pennsylvania, the majority of victims are women and girls who have been coerced into sex trafficking. Without intervention, including a safe place to go and help to heal from the horrific abuse they have endured, they are truly trapped. You can help a survivor find freedom today by supporting Greenlight Operation’s Run for Restoration.

The money raised will support Greenlight Operation’s Restoration Home, which will offer long-term housing and trauma-informed care to women who have been sex trafficked. It will provide a secure environment, job and life skills, and access to medical and dental care so that they can gain what they need to sustain a life in freedom.

Without places like Greenlight Operation's Restoration Home, the sad reality is that many who are extracted return to their traffickers and to slavery because they don’t receive the specialized help they need. Greenlight Operation is on a mission to provide restorative services so that no one has to go back to that way of living.

We are trying to raise $40,000 to support Greenlight Operation’s Restoration Home. You can help by giving individually or creating a team to fundraise. Will you help us reach more survivors with life-saving care?

Thank you for joining us to help more women go free and receive the services and housing they need.

Sincerely,

The Greenlight Operation Team
