One of the last remaining legacies of J.C. Blair in Huntingdon is facing a crisis situation. The park’s stone wall along Stone Creek is in need of repairs to prevent collapsing, the Orthodox church in the park was closed recently and generally the whole park is in need of maintenance and improvements if we are to keep it for the J.C. Blair legacy. Money available to the park association is just enough to pay for mowing and not much more — certainly not enough for the repairs to the wall and other work that needs to be done, such as trail maintenance.
Come and join us on a beautiful out-and-back, tree-lined trail race to help raise funds that can go toward restoring and preserving this wonderful asset to our community! Feel free, to run or walk! Leashed pets are welcome to join (please be respectful of other participants in regard to tripping hazards and waste left by your furry companion)!!!
