Organized by college runners in partnership with the Black Women in Sport Foundation and SEE US MOVEMENT, this virtual race is an effort to come together as a community to support racial equality and diversity in sports.  The goal: spend a week centering the experiences of black women-identifying athletes by sharing their diverse stories and success, and fundraising for the Black Women in Sport Foundation!

⇒ WHO BENEFITS?

100% of proceeds go to support the Black Women in Sport Foundation (BWSF). Established in 1992 BWSF, is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to increase the involvement of black women and girls in all aspects of sport, including athletics, coaching and administration.

⇒ WHEN & WHERE WILL THIS 5K TAKE PALCE?

Great question...It's virtual! You can register at any time up until July 11.  Registrants can run, bike, walk their 5k+ from anywhere!  Participants will be able to submit their completed results online.

⇒ HOW DO I PARTICIPATE?

• Register online and walk/bike/run a virtual 5k+ race by Saturday, July 11!
• $20 race entry covers registration and 3.1 miles pledged towards the Run for Justice 5k.  You may pledge additional miles beyond the 5k!  Each additional mile is $1.
• Join a community of runners, athletes, and supporters by sharing your journey using the hashtag #runforjustice5k #SeeHERStory
• Digital Race bibs are available to print - instructions here.
• 100% of entry fee proceeds are donated directly to the Black Women in Sport Foundation.
