The race will benefit the ADOA Association. Autosomal Dominant Optic Atrophy (ADOA) is a rare pediatric disease that deteriorates the optic nerve causing moderate to severe vision loss. In most cases, children become legally blind and some lose their vision completely. Because ADOA is so rare, families who are diagnosed don’t have anywhere to turn to help them find answers and cope with what their child’s future will entail.
We started the ADOA Association to help provide a place for families to get the answers they are looking for in order for them to best help their children who are experiencing vision loss due to this disease. We want to help them understand what ADOA is, how to help their child cope with the loss of their sight and to give them hope that research is being done to find a cure.
To learn more about this disease and our organization please visit www.adoaa.org.
Registration will begin at 8:00 AM the morning of the race.
Awards will be given to the top overall male & female finisher.
T-shirts are guaranteed to participants who register by 9/1/17.
