Description
Whether you are a competitive runner or just like to walk, enjoy your exercise downtown on the York County Rail Trail and support the cause of building understanding and trust between law enforcement and the community while providing scholarships for Logos Academy students. Race is followed by the awards ceremony and a block party. Several local police departments and church partners will be represented at the event.
Calling all superheroes! Along with our CommUNITY & Cops 5k this year, we are having a FREE mile fun run. This event is about bringing the community together, and superheroes are people who help their community! Dress up as your favorite superhero and run/walk in the Mile Fun Run to be entered into a random drawing for a chance to win four tickets to Adrenaline Trampoline Park. The Mile Fun Run is free, and registration is not required.
In Memory of Chief Wayne Ruppert
Chief Ruppert loved and served the York community admirably, bringing diverse groups together through his time on the York City police force and beyond.
Logos Academy is committed to providing an excellent education grounded in the love of Christ to students regardless of their income. Proceeds of this race will benefit Logos Academy student scholarships and fund a special scholarship in Chief Ruppert's memory. Read More...

Race Course
Our race course starts and finishes at Logos Academy in downtown York. The course features the beautiful Heritage Rail Trail heading southwest out of town. This is a flat course which is paved for about 2/3 of the distance with the remaining 1/3 finely crushed gravel. The race will start at 250 W King street, cross the King Street bridge take a right on the rail trail and go out past Richland Avenue to the turn around point and back.
