Hello. My name is Katelyn Mayberry, founder of Wildcats Cheer Inc., a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to empowering young athletes by building confidence and fostering success through competitive cheerleading while ensuring accessibility for all social classes, including those with financial needs. We are committed to fostering a love for the sport of cheer by providing high-quality training, and competitive opportunities with a strong emphasis on sportsmanship. We strive to keep costs manageable for athletes and their families.
The cost of competitive cheerleading creates a major financial barrier for many talented young athletes and families in our community. At Wildcats Cheer Inc., we believe every child deserves the opportunity to participate in a positive, structured, and confidence-building sport regardless of their financial situation.
We are currently seeking sponsors and donations to support six underprivileged athletes for the upcoming competitive cheer season. The full cost to sponsor one athlete is $5,000, which covers an entire year of participation including:
• Full-year tuition and training
• Competition uniform package
• Competition fees for the season
• Team participation expenses
Competitive cheer provides much more than athletics. It teaches discipline, teamwork, leadership, commitment, confidence, and perseverance while giving athletes a safe and supportive environment to grow both on and off the mat.
Many of these athletes come from financially unstable households where opportunities like this would otherwise be impossible. With community support, we can ensure these children are able to continue pursuing their passion, building lifelong skills, and representing our community with pride.
We are asking local businesses, organizations, and community members to consider sponsoring a full athlete or making a donation of any amount toward this initiative. Every contribution directly impacts a child’s ability to participate in a life-changing experience.
