We are proud to announce the 19th Annual CORE + Giving, taking place on Thanksgiving Day, November 26th, 2026.
For nearly two decades, CORE + Giving has brought our community together through movement, connection, gratitude, and giving back. This year, that mission feels more meaningful than ever.
It has now been one year since we lost our beloved friend and instructor, Suzanne Tanner, after her courageous battle with cancer. Suzanne brought so much energy, strength, kindness, and love to our CORE community. Her passion for running and bringing people together continues to inspire us, and we are honored to continue this event in her memory.
Cancer has touched our CORE family in deeply personal ways. CORE owner Denise Chakoian has faced cancer twice, most recently undergoing treatment for breast cancer this year. Through these experiences, we have seen firsthand just how important it is to have an exceptional hospital, dedicated physicians, innovative research, and access to the best possible treatments close to home.
That is why we are proud to continue supporting the incredible work of Dr. Howard P. Safran and his oncology research team at Rhode Island Hospital.
100% of the funds raised through CORE + Giving will benefit Dr. Safran's Oncology Research Fund, helping support innovative cancer research and clinical trials that can provide patients with access to promising new treatments and advances in cancer care.
For us, this is about taking care of our community. We want to help ensure that Rhode Islanders facing cancer have access to outstanding physicians, groundbreaking research, advanced treatments, and the very best care possible — right here in Rhode Island.
