We are raising money in this race for the ministries of Child Evangelism Fellowship Lakelands District.  Our largest ministry is our Good News Club. These operate mostly after school in public elementary schools and in community locations. Parents sign their children up for the club and the children hear the gospel of Jesus Christ in the Bible lesson while also participating in songs, games, memory verses and other parts of the club. For some children, this is there only exposure to Jesus and is the only Christian influence in their lives.  During the 2025-2026 school year, we served 426 students and saw 79 place their faith in Jesus.

We also conduct Party Clubs which are one day clubs that focus on a theme such as Christmas, Easter, soccer, etc. During the 2025-2026 school year, we conducted 3 Party Clubs. We served 101 students and saw 5 children place their faith in Jesus.

Our summer program, CYIA-Christian Youth in Action, takes young people aged 15-22 with juniors participating from 12-14, and trains them for a week at Columbia International University to do 5 Day Clubs.  These clubs are similar to Good News Clubs with more games and giveaways.  Once trained, the return to our area and conduct these clubs. In 2026, we conducted 7 clubs throughout Greenwood, Abbeville and McCormick Counties.  We served 52 children and saw 8 children place their faith in Jesus.  

CEF Lakelands serves Greenwood, Abbeville. McCormick, Saluda and Edgefield counties.  We would like to continue to grow and cover all the elementary schools in our area so we can share the hope of Jesus with these children.
