Each year The Honor Abe 5K raises money to support Pickens County XC and Track & Field athletes. The money raised from this race helps with the scholarships, awards, medals, and t-shirts for the Honor Abe 5k, Pickens County Track & Field meet (The Abraham Balawi Mile Run is a part of this event), and the Pickens County XC meet. Funds are deposited in the Abraham Balawi Scholarship fund account and used solely to keep maintain these annual events. Any excess finds will fund future scholarships and events.
