Last year we raised $1,345.81 for research. 68% of this amount was from donations alone! (The other 32% was from race registration fees.)
This year we would love to hit $2k in funds raised. Even if you don't participate in the virtual race, please consider donating. Last year when we connected with the American Society of Breast Surgeons and sent the donation, we received an email back that they were going to use our funds to create a Granulomatous Mastitis specific grant for their upcoming research year. We never imagined that an entire grant would be started due to our efforts in our FIRST year, and we can't wait to see what we are able to do THIS YEAR!
