FAITH OVER FEAR: Dr. Josh Wandell Continues His Battle With ALS: Dr. Josh Wandell was diagnosed with ALS in June 2013. The original diagnosis comes with a life expectancy of two to five years. Josh, his wife Tabitha, and their children, Jayla, Taylor and JT are approaching the three year anniversary of his diagnosis as determined as ever. Josh and his family continue to live as normal a life as possible. They may be in a battle with ALS, however, they live each day as a blessing and spend as much time as possible enjoying their time together. One of the many traits that ALS has not robbed Josh of is his faith. Josh remains steadfast in his belief that God has a plan for him and his life. He has given motivational speeches and shared his life experiences with numerous churches, youth groups, clubs and organizations. One of Josh’s greatest passions is running. Currently, Josh is confined to a wheelchair full time and has lost most of his mobility. Prior to his diagnosis, he enjoyed participating and competing in many racing events throughout the southeast. While Josh may not be able to physically run in these events anymore, the goal is to be able to raise enough funds to be able to purchase a custom race chair for Josh so he can resume his passion of participating and competing in races alongside his friends and family.
