Our mission is to spread ovarian cancer awareness to as many people as possible and raise funds for ovarian cancer research because 22,530 American women will be diagnosed this year and 14,000 will die from this disease - it is DEADLY and there is NO TEST or SCREENING available. A big problem we face is educating women on the widespread misconception that their PAP test screens for ovarian cancer. This disease ranks 5th in cancer deaths among women and is the most deadly of all the gynecological cancers. Our mission is important because the vast majority of people do not know the symptoms of this disease so, a staggering 80% of women are diagnosed at Stage 3 or beyond. If the extremely benign symptoms are known and the cancer can be detected early, more women will live.
