Though we have been serving the community since 1999, we feel like we are just getting started! Empower Me Center has exciting plans to expand our programs and reach more individuals. Each year, we have waiting lists for both our summer day camp and adult programs, and we are eager to build a recreational campus that will eliminate that issue. Our goal is to offer more services to children and adults with special needs, helping them grow, gain independence, and improve their social skills. We’re dedicated to building their self-esteem, courage, and confidence. At Empower Me Center, we embrace and celebrate their unique strengths, empowering them to live fun, healthy, and fulfilling lives.

​We are currently in Phase One of our capital campaign to build our recreational facilities, having raised over $4 million of our $6 million goal. In 2018, we acquired 25.45 acres on South Hartmann Drive, remaining debt-free. We’ve received donations for site work and approvals, and celebrated our progress with a groundbreaking in September of 2024.

​Phase One will include an Education Building, outdoor spaces, and recreational areas. Phase Two will add a 37,000-square-foot Community Recreation Building and Sports Complex. Our ultimate goal is to build these facilities so we can expand our services and help each individual reach their full potential through specially designed activities. This is our DREAM!
