Description
H.O.P.E. 4 Haiti 5K is going to be a great time to come enjoy a Sunday afternoon with friends and family at Fort Loudoun State Park. Whether you are a competitive trail runner, or just looking for a fun afternoon with your family, there will be something for you! Before the trail run, we will be having our first FREE kids run!
The course begins on a wider paved road, then moves off road into a combination of single tracks and wide grassy trails with beautiful lake views. There are some moderate uphill and downhill portions on the course, just enough to get your blood pumping. For safety, no baby strollers, bicycles, roller blades, or pets are allowed on the race course. Both walkers and runners are welcome! So, come enjoy a day at the park complete with a beautiful run, music, food, and fun times for all.
For the kids & families, during and after the race, there will be snacks, music and a market with Haitian arts & crafts, and great fellowship. Fort Loudoun State Park also offers great hiking trails, fishing, and a museum to visit.
Proceeds from this event will support the school and orphanage in Les Anglais, Haiti. H.O.P.E. 4 Haiti's mission is to provide financial support and encouragement to local Haitians in their pursuit to provide quality Christian education to the children in Les Anglais, Haiti. We work with Harvest Field Ministries, our on the ground partner in Haiti. Learn more about their work at www.harvestfieldhaiti.org.
We look forward to seeing you on Sunday, October 8th!
