Kacie’s Run has a rich history of making a difference in the lives of our community’s most deserving athletes, the All Star Special Olympics Athletes of Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD. Our team is made up of over 280 students from campuses all across our school district beginning in early childhood intervention through their senior year in high school. Our athletes compete annually in bowling and track and field, striving each time they enter the field of competition to live the Special Olympics Oath, “Let me win, but if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt.”
Our 2024 event endeavors to be the most successful year ever as we seek to increase the longevity of our CFBISD Special Olympics Program so that the athletes we serve continue to have the opportunity to experience the fullness of athletic competition as members of a team, supported by their community and cheered for their by families and friends.
Our theme, Still We Run, seeks to celebrate the storied journey of our run which empowers every person who hears the Kacie’s Run name, witnesses our athletes, or learns of our mission, to stand together and to encourage our All Star Athletes to believe that they can do anything. Whether you choose to run in our USATF Sanctioned 5K race, walk in our Family Fun Run with your kids and neighbors, or sponsor our event at a Friend of Kacie, your contribution is significant and furthers our ability to be the good for our All Stars.
