HELP RAISE FUNDS FOR HILLVIEW TRAIL RENOVATION AT EISENHOWER PARK!
Eisenhower Park is a 420-acre natural area park managed by the City of San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department. As a natural area, management of Eisenhower Park is focused on conservation of native habitat, but many amenities are still available at the park for the public to enjoy. Eisenhower Park consists of natural and paved trails and is the connection point of the Leon and Salado Creek Greenways.
Your donation will help fund a trail renovation project at Eisenhower Park along Hillview trail this fall.
Over the years Hillview trail has seen a lot of foot traffic and with the help of erosion most of the soils have washed away. This combination has made for some undesirable trail conditions and is in dire need of repairs.
This project will consist of reshaping some of the surface, rebuilding the steps with cedar logs, and backfilling with rocks and base. This will keep this section of trail challenging without the trip hazards. (see photos below of the site now, and after the renovations are complete) Thanks again for your donation and support, see you out on the trails.
