For the past 20 years, the StarKid 5K has supported Inova Children’s. Originally created for the Pediatric Heart Program, proceeds from the event now benefit pediatric services across the Inova Health System.  This year’s funds support the Joe Cassella Pediatric Patient and Family Support Fund, which provides critical financial assistance to families facing childhood illness or injury—covering needs such as medical bills, utilities, transportation, respite care, and more.

100% funded by philanthropy, this fund helps families focus on what matters most: healing—while honoring the compassionate legacy of Joe Cassella.
