This event is a 5k Run/Walk perfect for people of all athletic backgrounds.  With gorgeous Matthews State Forest as the scenic background, participants will be treated to a professionally organized event including timing, course photography and posted race results.  The best part?  All proceeds go to the American Kidney Fund to help patients in need.

The Inspiration Behind The Event
There are an estimated 11,500 patients receiving dialysis in the state of Virginia and nearly 2,500 of these patients receive some kind of direct assistance from the American Kidney Fund (AKF).  Fresenius Kidney Care has decided to create a community event to promote kidney health and awareness in our community and raise fund for AKF programs services.  With your generosity, the American Kidney Fund will continue to provide critical assistance to our dialysis community.
