Montvale 5 & 8.4 Milers

Donation Goal: $2,000

Let's continue to #LeaveItBetter - this is our message to help make an impact when you are on the trails.  This can be accomplished in many ways; picking up trash, being kind to other trail users, moving sticks, logs or debris out of the way trail, or joining in on trail maintenance/work days.  This way you can make a difference on every run

It seems like there are more trails than there are people to take care of them.  The USFS, NPS, and other municipalities are battling to keep their staff positions filled and that leaves a lot of maintenance issues unattended.  There are many trails that have been lost to time and we don't want more added to that list.

Trails don’t maintain themselves and this is an opportunity to give back and keep them from being lost; Yearly, Mountain Junkies puts in 100+ hours taking care of local trails.  Not only is this work done on the trails we use for our races but also neglected trails in the National Forest. We have an abundance of great trails in the “backcountry” that are being taken back by nature.  These trails, with a little help, can be brought back to life.  That is one of the goals of this donation effort. Keep up with the work we are doing here.  We are trying to update this page with the work that we are putting in.
