Mill Mountain Mayhem 10k

Donation Goal: $2,000

Let's continue to #LeaveItBetter - this is our message to help make an impact when you are on the trails.  This can be accomplished in many ways; picking up trash, being kind to other trail users, moving sticks, logs or debris out of the way trail, or joining in on trail maintenance/work days.  This way you can make a difference on every run

It seems like there are more trails than there are people to take care of them.  The USFS, NPS, and other municipalities are battling to keep their staff positions filled and that leaves a lot of maintenance issues unattended.  There are many trails that have been lost to time and we don't want more added to that list.

Trails don’t maintain themselves and this is an opportunity to give back and keep them from being lost; Yearly, Mountain Junkies puts in 100+ hours taking care of local trails.  Not only is this work done on the trails we use for our races but also neglected trails in the National Forest. We have an abundance of great trails in the “backcountry” that are being taken back by nature.  These trails, with a little help, can be brought back to life.  That is one of the goals of this donation effort. Keep up with the work we are doing here.  We are trying to update this page with the work that we are putting in.

  • I can barely use scissors without injury

What will your money go towards;

    • We are acquiring equipment to have formal workdays

What will you get;

  • The feeling of giving to a great effort
  • You will be added to a trail maintenance email list where;
    • we will keep you informed on the work that is done so that you can be a part of it and verify we aren’t just using your money to participate in travel or races.
      • And you can opt to join in on the workdays.
      • In 2024 we've officially adopted the trail maintenance of the Chestnut Ridge Loop
      • We have opened up Sawmill Branch Trail in Carvins Cove
