Fairfax Egg Run 2020 (Virtual!)

The Fairfax Egg Run goes Virtual!

As we are unable to gather for an event like this in person right now, we're incredibly excited to bring the Egg Run to YOU! This virtual race will take place between August 1st and August 9th.

We're excited to offer a fantastic prize package to all who finish their event, including a special 2020 Egg Run T-Shirt, a certificate for a fantastic made-to-order omelet at a local establishment, a finisher medal, and more!

All proceeds benefit the Fairfax Community Center, a multi-generational community space in the village

The Egg Run has always been a great fundraiser for community projects in Fairfax. It helped build a playground, our recreational fields, the community recreation path, and now it’s supporting the development of our Community Center!

All proceeds from this event help fund improvements to bring this building on Main Street up to compliance for large public assembly. We are closer than ever before to achieving the collective vision of a multi-generational community space in Fairfax, and that’s why we’re calling on you to help us clear the last few hurdles!

Even while we're apart, there's a great benefit to the entire community in having a space like this to organize meal distribution, provide shelter in an emergency, or look to as a beacon of hope for a time when we can come back together. 

You can take your contribution a step further through fundraising!

This year we've enabled fundraising for all participants of the Egg Run - any additional contributions to our goal are encouraged and will be recognized with a small additional gift sent out with your Egg Run swag!

First Place Fundraiser Prize
The Inner Chef Package from The Essex Culinary Resort and Spa
- Two nights’ accommodations
- One Cook Academy Class (per person) 
- $50 (per person) credit toward dinner at Junction (reservations required)
- Breakfast at The Tavern (up to $16 value per person daily)

Second Place Fundraiser Prize
Two Person scenic Helicopter Tour from Mansfield Heliflight

Third Place Fundraiser Prize
A one night stay for two at The Essex Culinary Resort and Spa

We'll be accepting proof of completion digitally between August 1st and August 9th, valid by:

Strava is a fantastic platform to use to participate in this virtual race

Just follow these easy steps:

1. Join our Strava Club by going to: https://www.strava.com/clubs/fairfaxvt
2. Select which date you’d like to participate in from our “Club Events”
3. On the date you selected, go out for your run with your connected device or phone recording your run and submit your results!

Use our online form

For a slightly lower-tech option, you can submit your time and proof of your run through a form on our website
